Oh my. This is very shiny. I wish it had existed when I was doing my PhD, it would have made everything so much easier. So, being egotistical, I couldn’t resist doing a search for Snellgrove. And go me, for I am there at 2 and 3, above my great uncle david’s tibetan books at 5 and 6. Yay! Sadly the profound writings on Hormonal Sex Manipulation in Catfish, and Fungal Symbiont in Leeks are nothing to do with my family, alas.

Wow - it has been busy finding your stuff. Go you! :) :)

It has all my papers, and even some conference and poster submissions of mine, but fails to find my actual thesis, which *is* online. Grrrrr.

I'll be in Cambridge this evening - actually I'd been hoping to drag you to the Calling, but never mind. I think Catt will be around, but you'll have to check with her.

Where you going at the weekend? Anywhere exciting? :)

I'm going to see my friend Caroline up in Newcastle. The plan is I'm driving up there on Friday (which means I can't go to the ceilidh, boo hiss), spending saturday and sunday there, then on Monday I'm going to go and visit family (just south of there), and then drive across to the Lake District, where I'll be at a mini-conference/workshop/thingy for a couple of days. I'll not be back until Wednesday night. I'm actually rather looking forward to it -- the workshop is in a hotel on the shore of Lake Windermere, which should be lovely. I'm a bit concerned about snow, though -- as you're from up in that direction, you'll know what I mean! :-)

Yah boo about missing you and the calling. Sorry about that. :-(

Awwwww. Sounds like a nice break. :) Lake district is always pretty, although you should be more worried about lack-of-snow, it's not too cold there right now. :)

I'm sure there will be more Callings. :)

I'm more concerned about driving across the A69 actually, but it's not too bad for blocking. Now if I decided to drive past my old house and go via Alston, it might be a quite different experience. I really *did* need a 4 wheel drive when I lived there (without which I'd be stuck in the valley for weeks on end during winter), which gave me a great feeling of superiority over the shopping mums with their SUVs. :)

If the weather is bad, I'll probably leave my car in Newcastle and take the train, then probably go back by train to pick it up after the workshop. It would give me a good excuse for an extra night in Newcastle, if nothing else! :-)
