Hey, so was it pancake day yesterday? I thought it was last week!

Yep, pancake day was yesterday. Always 40 days before the first sunday after the first full moon after the spring equinox.

Are you telling me you ate pancakes a week early??? Bad Val!

Here it was Maslenitsa (pre-lent pancake time) last week. Yes here it lasts a whole WEEK, although the most important days are Saturday and Sunday.

So I wasn't eating them early. Anyway, a pancake is for life, not just for Lent.
