I am in a happy dreamy romantic mood. Just watched Amelie and decided that film is *so* me. Like totally me .I was practically in tears in places and its been a long time since anything has emotionally affected me in this way. Everything is happy and friendly and I want to hug the world. I'm a romantic dreamer at heart always looking for the happy ending in everything. Call me a fool if you like but I live for dreams.

I'm going to Paris in June! To meet Val for her birthday! Go me! *excited*

You think I'm better than you? Jeez, thank you... I think I'll frame that next to Catriona saying I'm a better writer than JK Rowling :) It's a really good job we started talking to each other again, as I'd have been left with very different ideas of what you thought of me otherwise...

As for the weekend, I'd prefer something that didn't cost money *or* involve food, but I'm trying to achieve a semblance of normality in these matters so a picnic or something would be OK... anyway, what time, ish?

Oh yeah, um... I think you're better than me as well. If you hadn't guessed from my reaction. All this probably means a) we're both really good in not-easily-comparable ways, and b) we both have a spot of self-image trouble :)

I agree with Catriona of course. Although I would *never* have told you that without knowing her opinion first - I don't consider myself a good judge of literature, so was keeping my mouth shut. I like your stuff *lots* but I thought that was mainly becasue I'm impressed by you. If Catriona has the same opinion though, and I'll trust her to be an excellent judge of literature, then I'll poke my nose out here and say 'Everyone read Eve's stories- they're *amazing*'

Ok, I'll stop making your ego inflate to galactic proportions now, but it just *had* to be done.

As for your weekend in london - well anytime is good fro me, but lets provisionally say sunday afternoon. Usually not much else happening then. Picnic sounds an eminent plan of sorts, although if you'd just prefer somehting simple and just want to pop in for a chat, thats ok, but i'd rather go out and *do* something. Bat is almost certainly in london too that weekend, maybe we can co-ordinate things with her.

Maybe easier to arrange this on email.
