Broadband broken - help?
Oct. 27th, 2003 09:52 pmZen sent an email just after midnight last night saying the broadband should be activated by 6pm today. I've been trying all evening to connect, and theres no response. Nothing. Annoyingly, their support phone number closes at 5pm, so I can't get any help.
It's either a problem with my configuration, or a problem at their end, or a delay in activating the ADSL line. Is there any easy way to determine which is likely to be the problem?
Or can anyone give me any helpful hints on how to avoid likely pitfalls with configuring an ADSL modem?

Date: 2003-10-28 05:18 am (UTC)I've tried *everything* I can think of. Yes, I unplugged *all* the phones, tried different filters, and even no filter at all (with no phones), tried plugging the modem into different socket, including the BT master socket. Even tried with a different ADSL modem. No sychronization. Not one bit. Zen claim the line has been activated but agree with me that there is no sync on the line. BT are having a look at what may be wrong.
