Saturday saw the creation of one of the fabbiest pieces of fabness ever! Together a foolish band of 13 of us conspired to make one of
mirabehn's dreams a reality, and we recreated the Lord of the Rings radio series. All 13 episodes (each 1 hour long) with sound effects, music, singing, everything....the works. And.....it was something beautiful, moving and truly touched all present. Words cannot do it justice, although for those who want them, are available here and on various peoples livejournals. Instead I'll mention how fab everyone there was, how in awe I was at everyones singing (including the shy
kmazzy) and that I have many many very wonderful talented friends that I almost feel I don't deserve to be around, given my general lack of singing, acting or musical talent in any way whatsoever. My gollum was very un-gollum-like and my Legolas, despite
the_alchemist's best efforts, didn't seem to know Quenya at all. Everyone else there was fab. So, special hugs to
yvesilena for capturing Sam's accent perfectly,
andrewwyld for Shagrat's absurd French accent,
kmazzy for being the cutest ever Merry,
purplepiano for the fab music,
spindlemere for the scary Voice of Sauron,
the_alchemist for being a very good Galadriel and teaching us all Quenya (and yummy vegan Thai soup!),
leonato for being a very manly Aragorn *wink*,
gnimmel for the superb Gandalf,
evil_nick for the eldritch screams,
ixwin for the very touching Eowyn she just *is*,
smhwpf for just being Treebeard, and
mirabehn for somehow managing to find the energy to organize the whole thing. Yaaaaaaay! :)
Gosh, I've been a bit gushing.....but that's how I feel about the whole thing....I love you all and hope to catch up with all of you soon. *happyhappysmiles*

Let's just say I agree with
(Thankyou, by the way. I've never thought of myself as particularly Eowyn like - I concentrated on delivering each line as well as I could rather than having an overall 'character' in mind, so I'm really glad it came together in other people's heads)

Good point - I could do the same for mine, and 'twould be just as useless.

*grin* It certainly did come together. Although it was your Boromir that impressed me most.
