I'm not popular am I?

A month ago I was lamenting the fact that I appeared to have very few friends, and nobody was paying me any attention. Things are beginning to feel quite differently now. For the first time in a very long time, I'm actually feeling popular. Like the sort of person people actually want to talk to and spend time with. Maybe I'm deluding myself again, and it possibly won't last, but hey, I'll take advantage while I'm on top. It's true I've been getting out a bit more recently, and have met lots of new people and talked to people more, which is fun. I've also had the Val factor, who's somehow been making me feel good about everyone and everything. Catt's being especially nice to me, meg was flirting the other week, doseybat dragged me off to dinner the other night, eve is genereally being eve and cuddly towards me on email, tish is outrageously flirting here on my journal. Where did all this attention suddenly spring from? Add to that the dozens of comments on my LJ since sunday (39 and counting...) then the result is me feeling wanted.

Thankyou everyone. You've actually made me happy.

Indeed you are wanted, i have seen your photo's on posters :)
But don't be paranoid, it does not normally get you anything in the end. Just accept it people out there like you.

Thanks, you made *me* happy now.

Hmm, this kind of thing tends to snowball, i.e. when people want to know you, people want to know you. :)

Is always a shock when you realise one person likes you. Can imagine the vast impact of realising that a maximum of up to 39 people like you... Still! Enjoy! Relish! (and possibly tomato).

And also accept that the reason people like you is that you're a likable person. Is always a good rule of thumb to remind oneself of.

You could do a lot worse... and at least it's a factual statement...

True.
But then there are random people, like myself, who just happen to run into you (in this case on LiveJournal, thank goodness for it) and think "Hey, I really like this person".

Why does everyone like me?

Hmm.
Sweet, enthusiastic, funny, and oh so oh so *oh* so pretty.
So far that's all the reasons I've got, give me time and there will be more. ~smile~

The first I ever saw of you was on [livejournal.com profile] emarkienna's website, and I wished you had a LiveJournal just 'cause I wanted to know more about you...I'm like that...
Found [livejournal.com profile] emarkienna's website from [livejournal.com profile] countess_sophia's as it happens, but it could have been one of a few people, yes. ~smile~

Also, just noticed you have been to - or even possibly regularly go to - Electric Dreams night? ~bounce~ Excuse me while I cheer a little...

Not as strange as she appears on LiveJournal, honest.

No, just decided you were very very pretty and wanted to know who you were and the like.
Decided I liked you after reading your journal.

Not so much a question of courage in admitting it though - I don't see it as a particularly odd thing to do...~s~

Electric Dreams is (as far as I can find) the only club night in Britain that plays the music that I like. I've only been once, and that was last *year*...I can't wait to make it back.

~laughs~
It does happen from time to time on LiveJournal, yes. Also, if I'm LJ-notorious for anything, it's running across random people's journals and telling them how great I think they are - apparently that's a bad thing, but I can't quite see why...

I take it then that we like similar music?
This would be a Good Thing, if it were to be the case...

Well, hurrah. ~smile~ Both for the things you like, and the things you emphatically don't.
Good music is good music, whatever genre you may find it in.
Except possibly for rap. ~shudder~

Rufus Wainwright?
