I'm not popular am I?
Apr. 9th, 2002 12:48 amA month ago I was lamenting the fact that I appeared to have very few friends, and nobody was paying me any attention. Things are beginning to feel quite differently now. For the first time in a very long time, I'm actually feeling popular. Like the sort of person people actually want to talk to and spend time with. Maybe I'm deluding myself again, and it possibly won't last, but hey, I'll take advantage while I'm on top. It's true I've been getting out a bit more recently, and have met lots of new people and talked to people more, which is fun. I've also had the Val factor, who's somehow been making me feel good about everyone and everything. Catt's being especially nice to me, meg was flirting the other week, doseybat dragged me off to dinner the other night, eve is genereally being eve and cuddly towards me on email, tish is outrageously flirting here on my journal. Where did all this attention suddenly spring from? Add to that the dozens of comments on my LJ since sunday (39 and counting...) then the result is me feeling wanted.
Thankyou everyone. You've actually made me happy.

Date: 2002-04-09 05:22 pm (UTC)Its akin to the famous people thing. True there are people famous for doing great deeds and suchlike. All well and good. But then there are some people who appear to be purely famous for being famous. And thats it. Theres nothing special about them at all - they didn't do anything worht being famous for. Tehy just *are* famous, and then the fame sustains itself. Crazy.

Sweet, enthusiastic, funny, and oh so oh so *oh* so pretty.
So far that's all the reasons I've got, give me time and there will be more. ~smile~
The first I ever saw of you was on

Also, just noticed you have been to - or even possibly regularly go to - Electric Dreams night? ~bounce~ Excuse me while I cheer a little...

Date: 2002-04-12 09:23 am (UTC)Decided I liked you after reading your journal.
Not so much a question of courage in admitting it though - I don't see it as a particularly odd thing to do...~s~
Electric Dreams is (as far as I can find) the only club night in Britain that plays the music that I like. I've only been once, and that was last *year*...I can't wait to make it back.

Date: 2002-04-14 02:34 pm (UTC)I'm sure there must be other clubs out there similar to Electric Dreams. They *must* exist. Only I've not found them either.

Date: 2002-04-15 01:29 am (UTC)It does happen from time to time on LiveJournal, yes. Also, if I'm LJ-notorious for anything, it's running across random people's journals and telling them how great I think they are - apparently that's a bad thing, but I can't quite see why...
I take it then that we like similar music?
This would be a Good Thing, if it were to be the case...

Date: 2002-04-15 05:06 am (UTC)As for my music taste, I like a lot of things so my music taste is very broad. I mainly like goth/punk/80's type music the most, however I also adore the qulaity selection out of a lot of related music genres so you'll quite happily find me listening to bizarre folk music/ industrial / power electronics and the like, even if theres some music in those genres I really can't stand.
Chances are anyone could find music they like in common with me, unless they like rap or R&B or something totally urk!

Except possibly for rap. ~shudder~
