Well you have a quite photogenic (though she doesn't believe it) flatmate to try it out on. This would combine well with her lack of pics she likes for her website.

Anyway bit of obvious advice for you - try and get some rechargable batteries for it as they get through batteries like there is no tomorrow.

Ssssssh! We all know she is preeeeeeeetty, but she'll bite the head off anyone who implies it in anyway. She might hear us.

Thanks for advice on rechargeable batteries. I'm planning to get some, and charger for them, maybe on saturday. The only problem with those, is that they apparently take *forever* to charge up, during which time of course i can't use the camera. I do however have a small stash of normal batteries for it to devour first, so i may be safe for a while.

Well a mate of mine has two sets of rechargables, I'm not sure of the type, so that while one set is charging he can use the other set.

I thought the new ones came with a fast charger that charges in about 3 hours. Mind you I haven't bought rechargable batteries in years.
