Unfortunately it's too cloudy here for me to see much - and I can't see the sun from my office anyway. And the NASA website has gone down from the sheer volume of people trying to watch it online. :-/

Indeed. Don't worry, though - it'll grow back. One thing I've noticed from these occasions is that the Sun has remarkable recuperative powers.

Was it ever out from the clouds in Manchester.

From what I remember of Manchester and Stockport as a kid you could see the raincloud hovering over the place as you got near on the M6!
