I will donate them all to the lovely alektoeumenides whose dad died yesterday. Visited her mum yesterday to check how she was coping, which led to a very odd evening of her showing me all the little momentos of him, the photos of him, all she has left of him now. Disturbing to think how fragile life is. Am feeling very mortal today.

I hope my mother was ok, I really do. I am ever so grateful to you for visiting her, please do give her a call/drop by again if you can, it's good to know that folk are keeping an eye on her, keeping her company. She doesn't really have anyone else to turn to so it's ever so good of you to help out.

Your mum appeared like she was coping on thursday. She did keep herself busy, and was constantly doing things, whether preparing food or showing me things or chatting, i think she was trying to keep her mind from thinking too much about it. She will be busy over the weekend i htink and has company so thats excellent. I plan to visit her sometime the middle of next week, just to check on her, and probably to bring her a xmas pressie too. Sometimes it takes a while for the reality to sink in, so just because she's fine now, doesn't mean she'll be coping next week. I'll see what I can do.

I like being useful.

Being useful is rather underrated isn't it?

Make sure she keeps busy, there's a lot to be said for that.
