First job interview
It would appear I have a job interview on Monday. In Cambridge! Dearie me, I'd not expected that. Now i'm very nervous and feeling shy about the whole thing, and unsure of what I know. I've never been good at interviews in my life. In fact, it fairly safe to say I'm appalingly bad at interviews. I'm scared of the whole job interview idea, and I have a sudden urge to cancel it but i know that's not really a good idea. But I'm panicked!!!! Can I just hide and will it go away???
Any of you Cambridge peoples know anything at all about Apama? *wonders*
Heather Nova tomorrow, with the fab
kmazzy. Yaaaaaaay. And then birthday party in cambridge on Saturday - see some of you there.
Friendly email has been sent to catgirl. Waiting. Waiting. Waiting.....i'm holding my breath and feel like a tightly wound spring.
Update: Just remembered - I still have pink streaks in my hair. Are these compatible with job interviews? Should I attempt to hide them?

If you have a firm idea of what sort of work you want to do, and what sort of company you want to work for it makes it easier, cos then you have questions to ask. Unless you're being interviwed by me, cos I am a total bitch and like to make people squirm, they aren't there to catch you out really, unless you lied on your CV or sommat. Most of the horrible, open ended questions about this or that scenario don't have right or wrong answers, they just want to know what *you'd* do, so don't panic and think they are after a specific answer they probably aren't.
So what did you think of lovely Aylesbury then?

I must have been kept to the nice bits of Aylesbury, as I really liked the place (much like foreign visitors to old comminist states only being show the pretty bits, ignoring all the slummy bits). Theere was a fab Noodle place, and a pub that played half-decent music (the Bell, I think).
What else are you doing for your Birthday, other than B-Movie?

Birthday
My actual birthday is kinda out of my hands, I've left it to Joseph to sort out, with a little help from Shira, that's what best friends are for IMO. I think it involves food and cinema, or atleast it did last time I heard, but then there was talk of squirty cream and Lois ice cream sundaes, so I really don't want to think about that!
Not quite sure what the current plans for sat / sun are yet, I need to find out whether I can crash in London on friday night after B Movie, actually better do that quick, so if not I can grab a lift up to B Movie and not have to drive :) Not sure what the plan for monday day is which may influence the plans for sunday.
So pretty much I haven't a clue ;)

I think Cambridge should be moved en-mass to London. That would make life so much easier.

Doubt there is anything we can do about the pink streaks. We can tie your hair back to make it less obvious maybe.
Will you have a suit by then.
Eek so maybe looking for 3 bedroomed houses and sharing with strangers again - scarey. Guess we can always take a 4 bedroomed and then find someone esle for your room when you find somewhere in Cambridge. Meeples will miss you if you get the job.

If they don't phone me about suit today, I'll phone them first thing tomorrow (I don't have the number with me today).
Bloke just phoned me about houseviewing the Leyton place near Asda, he wants to meet us 6:30 on Monday - is that good?

Yay! Faint heart never won fair lady! Now you need something to take your mind off.
Eighties television theme songs (http://www.80snostalgia.com/classictv/misc/sounds.html);
If it's not Scottish, it's shite (http://thedevilspanties.keenspace.com/d/20011109.html);
Check out photos (http://www.ripe-fruit.co.uk/photos/), especially the bosewarming.
More coming through when I have a moment.

The pink might actually work to your advantage - at least it's memorable.
