In just over a month the contract on my current place will be running
out which means that myself, [livejournal.com profile] snow_leopard and [livejournal.com profile] inskauldrak will be looking for a new place, so if you know:
a) Anyone else looking at this time who might be willing to live
with us
b) Any decent houses available
c) Anyone with room(s) available
d) Can recommended decent agents/removal service/places to live

then any help is welcome
(I have made this a public post so you can always point people at it!!)

We are reasonably open to area, just not to keen on the Stratford/Leyton
area again. Preferably zone 2 or 3 (though open-minded about further
out) and with good links into the City (where [livejournal.com profile] snow_leopard works) and easy access
home on night buses. We are looking for somewhere either together or
individually (depending on whats available).
Looking for £100 a week each at most (more if bills are included),
reasonable sized bedrooms, a freezer - usual amenities.
We would be looking to move the weekend of 10th-13th October (or
before).
I am tidy and a non-smoker, [livejournal.com profile] snow_leopard is vegetarian (has no particular issues with living
with either carnivores or considerate smokers). We will tidy when poked (and with minimal amount
of grumbling) and are well mannered and generally easy to live with. [livejournal.com profile] inskauldrak smokes but always does so outside. All alternative
people, young professionals oh and we make great cakes/bread/veggie
chilli/Veggie bolognaise.

Fingers crossed for you - it's always a nightmare househunting, and moving home stresses me out majorly!!

By the way, should have replied sooner - but 1:40pm, Archway station, is fine. :-)

yay

Move to Balham (zone 3) or somewhere near.

Clapham South (zone 2/3)where Sister Kate lives is nice, near Clapham Common but less other useful stuff than Balham. Clapham North (zone 2) where Sister Alice lives is slightly scary thought near Brixton High Street and cool stuff. The bit between Balham and Tooting Bec is not scary, Tooting Broadway is a bit scary at the moment (though it is a recent development and used not to be) and Tooting Broadway to Colliers Wood is a bit far out but fairly nice. But Balham is best because it has mainline trains (to Victoria) and the underground, is not at all scary (at least I haven't been scared in two years and I was scared everyday in Elephant), has nice parks, a lido, good pubs, a fab comedy venue, useful shops (including a very good healthfood shop for veggies) and isn't insanely expensive. My sisters live in slightly posher areas but both pay around £100 a week (for very very nice rooms in nice big townhouses). Slight problem is properties tend to be four bedrooms plus or one bedroom like our flat. Oh and don't go to Foxtons because they seem lovely but it is the gold leaf on top of a gold plated turd you will be dealing with. Lynwood Letts who manage our property have always been fine and not even slightly mad (although that is based on a sample of one)http://www.findaproperty.co.uk/lynwoodletts/.

Hmmmmm this is quite long, can you see I really want you to move to Balham.

Love

Penny
