That's K as in the cider rather than anything dodgy (got told that a lot of people think K is ketamine).

My evil-cider of choice at the time was Strongbow. Which explains the stonking hangovers I had. Once I'd discovered the delights of chocolate covered coffee beans, all was OK. I consider them essential rations in surviving Slimelight nowadays. :)

Sounds interesting the chocolate covered coffee beans. Haven't tried them.

But Strongbow is kinda vile compared to Scrumpy Jack. It is the difference of artificial sweetners and sugar.

You should. You really should! :) Buy them at Whittards.

Don't get me started on ciders. I'm learning to appreciate proper cider. Glastonbury game me proper somerset cider, which was lovely (and very strong!) and I'm looking forward muchly to the Cider and Perry selection available at the Great British Beer Festival next month. :)

Well get to the beer festival early as they tend to run out of ciders and perries quite quickly :(

If you go to the Head of Steam at Euston station, they do Old Rosie on draft. This is 7.5% aklcohol, cloudy and 2.50 a pint. It tastes lovely. As the pub also does real Ales, try persuading Morph to go with you next time he is in London.

Wetherspoons do Westons and the Medium dry is quite nice and 6.5%. I think it varies but is about 2.30 a bottle.

But yup, there is a lot of difference between the mass produced ciders and proper cider.

Last year I didn't get there until the last day and there were plenty of yummy ciders and perries left. But maybe some of the better ones had gone, but I didn't notice.

I know all about the Head of Steam pub, and i'm pretty sure Morph does too. But yes, I must go there again soon. :)

Hmmm, I went a few years ago on the Sat and all the ciders and perries had sold out.

I ended up trying honey beer as I figured that had to be close to Mead, and found it disgusting, so I ended up on Orange juice at a beer festival.

I was distinctly unchuffed by that.

I'm 90% certain it was you. I may have met you even earlier, as i surely met Michaela back in 1997, and you may have been around her at the time. I think I also met you at Dave Holland's Wedding Reception, but that was slightly later.

The Fen Ditton Party: There was a very punch with extremely vodka-infused fruit in it, may have been grapefruit. You made yvesilena drink it, and within 5 minutes her legs gave way and she was on the floor. She was later seen dancing and singing Tori Amos in the next garden. I was duly thanked for bringing the entertainment. (sorry yves!)

the first time i remember seeing you was outside the old church that sometimes has booksales in - you had bunches and stripey socks and were with leo n other shiela people... and i couldn't tell if you were a boy or girl till i got close up :) ... meeting is probably too strong a word though. ...
probably saw you at a shiela meeting 4 years ago too - there was one i n my room as it was bigger than tristans next door, but there were alot of people and i don't really remember....

meeting properly and actually talking to each other, as you say, was probably at your house :)

The sheila meeting you're referring to I heard about but wasn't actually there - there was an All About Eve gig I went to that evening. I think.

Sheould meet you more often. And need to soon, theres some CDs that Oli's been pestering me for that he wants back. :)

i'm sure you could nab a place on the floor at ours - but we do generally cycle from here to calling which could be a problem - well unless you persuaded us to walk in that week, and hence back with you...

Thanks for the offer! Although it is a long way out. But then I'm used to walking long distances after the calling, so thats nothing new.

I'll be sure to give you lots of warning if i plan to turn up to a calling. Can't do it next week, i'll be in Brighton on Tuesday.

But sometime, yes. :) Or maybes I'll find other reasons to visit Cambridge.
