Chatting to the british transport police

So today they finally took a statement from me - beforehand I was a bit stressed about giving a witness statement, wasn't sure what was involved, but the BT police were very friendly and supportive and asked me to tell things slowly and carefully. And in the end, it was a relief to tell the whole event to someone, and them to listen attentively to all the details, and to get it all off my chest, and now that its out of me, I feel more free, like I've got past it now, and it's behind me. The emotions and the pain and the fear have all been signed away on forms. It's an escape.

They tell me theres an organized mob of these yobs, attacking on the Cambridge-London train often, sometimes in groups as large as 30-40. They get on and off at intermediate stations and often cause mayhem. In future I'm going to feel safe only on the nonstop services.

*hugs*

Glad the statement was helpful, and that you're feeling better.

I mentioned this to [livejournal.com profile] vectorious and he said a friend of his had been caught in a similar incident on the Cambridge-London train a couple of months ago.

Honey, if it gets late just stay in Cambridge the night - you know enough people there who will happily offer you floorspace.

*hugggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggs*

Glad that you're feeling better. I wondered if talking to the police would help. :)

*wibble* to the organised mob. Make sure you take people up on the offers of Cambridge stay-overs if you need them!

Weren't you dreadfully tempted to say, "Why don't you put lots of policemen on a train in plain clothes and arrest the little shits then?"
