What is up with LJ and Netscape?

LJ now appears to be incompatible with Netscape. Or at least, any version of Netscape I've tried with it. It worked perfectly up until about a month ago. Then things started going weird with the little person icons, who started floating up to the top of the page, and not sit next to the persons LJ name as they are supposed to. That was odd, but the page still worked. This week however, it has been impossible to use Netscape to write entries or leave comments. I can only use Netscape at College, so it looks like from now on, I can only read journals at work, and not comment. Probably a blessing in disguise, as I really should be distracted from writing my thesis right now.

Anyone else noticed this problem? Or is it just me?

Working in Netscape right now as I'm using it.

LJ has been going a lot more CSS-heavy recently. NS4.x's CSS support is worse-than-nonexistent, and the browser should be considered obsolete at this point.
Try mozilla instead.

Which he can't do.
At a guess he's using ancient Solaris boxes, and can't install anything himself (certainly not anything as big as Mozilla), and it would run way too slowly (its bad enough on a PIII-500).

This is from Netscape 4.79

Turning off Style Sheets (edit->preferences->advanced) should help. Looks crap, but looks better than with style sheets...
If that doesn't work, get one of the clients, the command line ones aren't too bad...
