Evil fungus attacks stuffed toys

I usually keep all my stuffed toys (yes, for those of you who don't know, I have a sizable collection, and I don't care how silly this may seem to some people) mainly on my windowsill of by bedroom, all snuggled in big heap. I think the heating must have been off while we were out of the house last weekend in Prague, as when returned home and said hello to my stuffed friends, they'd been under attack! Some evil mound had grown all over them and they were looking very unhappy. Eeeeeeep. So a lot of Saturday was spent carefully giving them rides in the washing machine (via the pillowcase trick of getting the machine to do hand-washing) although the really sensitive ones had to have the icky mould carefully scrubbed off. They all sat on the warm radiators drying on Sunday, and have now been spending nights with me in my bed. They appear to have survived, and while some may still be a little traumatized by the experience, they are happy now, except wormy, who got very attacked and may need strong stain remover. Eeeeep. I think they'd all appreciate hugs from anyone willing to give them hugs.

Poor toys, glad they all seem to have survived - I used to have a big collection of bears with me at university, and had to call on friends to perform a rescue and deposit them in various people's homes when I was having damp problems and was away sick for a while.. missed them so much, and then had to do a big trip round everyone collecting them up again once I'd been given a nice warm un-damp place to live.

Hello..

I found your web site by the Queen Mary Astronomy Website...
I am an art student and I was wondering if you could help me..
I am working in a project related to stars and I was wondering how is it that a star is discovered , by whom and how often does this happen. Is it possible to contact someone that have discovered a star?

Any information you could send me would be very helpful for me

look forward to hear from you

thank you very much

eep!

*hugggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggs* to your soft toys.

My soft toys mostly live in a basket chair in our bedroom (they were covered in nice cloths when it was Fangorn, so they wouldn't be alarmed by the big trees).

They send hugs and greetings to your soft toys, especially wormy, and hope that they feel better soon.
