The misfortunes of Val

Poor Val! She's having a terrible week. As she can't get online now, and won't for a while, i'll post the misfortunes of her week for her here, until she gets around to updating her journal.

Val's woes stated on tuesday, when she sprained her ankle. Not on the icy streets of Moscow, but inside in a classroom. Eeeep. This was bad enough to have poor Val in agony, and put her in a cast and crutches and make her hobble around housebound. Today the militia have come around to her flat and told her the owner wants the flat back, and she's being evicted tomorrow. Poor thing. She doesn't know where she's moving to yet, but is now busy packing everything (including Pudding) very quickly.
Makes my problems sound insignificant. At least I'm in good health and have somewhere to call home. Lots of get-well-soon hugs and things floating over to Moscow to make Val feel better.

Ah...

Your concern is appreciated dearie...but I'm back at work today and although things have gone a little pear-shaped at the flat (the cooker blew up this morning - eeep) it's a nice flat, Anette (the new teacher who is living with me for a while) is lovely and soon I will be able to take the cast off and attempt to walk normally. It could be a lot worse. For all the hasstle I think in the end it will be worth it, as the flat is soooooooo much nicer.

Anyway, best go, I suspect it'll take me ages to get to grips with teaching again.
