Look people: me and val are just *friends*. We've not got up to anything rude and aren't likely to anytime soon. True I may have my head somewhat over the rainbow about her, but I'm not the sort that rushes into these things. We've made it clear to each other what we want out of each other, and it's no more than a really good friendship so far. Maybe part of me is disappointed, but I've got a wonderful new friend, so why am I disappointed? Am I hoping for too much? Friendship can be worth millions: Catt has taught me that. I think I'm going to enjoy myself being single for some time to come, thankyou! *smallsmile*

I've played the other role in this sort of situation before, so I've some idea of how awkward a situation I've put you into. My problem mainly, for liking you possibly a little too much, but I can see how this is a problem for you too. Deary deary me, I've ended up with egg on my face again.
