Farewell to Meg / Tenebrae

The bouncey Meg shaped creature is departing to Durham to become a student again. Eeeep. This means I probably won't get to see her again for a long time, which is sad. :( It did however mean we went for leaving drinkies in the city (with Joe, Doseybat and a whole heap of Meg's other friends) on Friday evening. Turning up half-gothed up to a city wine bar got a lot less glares and comments than I was expecting. After much wine, much talk and a few farewell hugs, Meg departed for Popstarz, and I headed for Tenebrae.

Tenebrae proved to be fun for lots of reasons, and I'm much relieved that there wasn't a repeat of last month's incident. My fears that I was seeing clubs as unfriendly places seem to come to nothing. Yay! :) First of all, many of my friends turned up - I went with snow_leopard, emarkienna, Tristan and Doseybat, and inside it was delightful to meet up with happygoff & Matt, sheridanwilde, Daniella, Vinnie, erming, Kelly & Phil, fluffydave and *Macula* (yay, i've not seen him in...ooh...over a year and there he was!). There was also a vast invasion of CamGoths, including davefish, zotz, darkgoblin, shekmet, alixandrea, kboyd and Pyro. So lots of peoples! Yay! :) :) Unfortunately Emily couldn't be there, but I guess I can't hope for everything. I talked and talked and drank and danced and talked and danced and talked and made a fool of myself and danced and........well then the club closed. It's been ages since I last managed to stay to the end of tenebrae, so I must have been enjoying myself. Go me! :) Got home at 5am, and didn't get much sleep.

random unrelated question: how much did it cost to book teh function room at teh sheepwalk?

I assume this is about a joint birhtday party thing for you and Tristan. Yay! :)

When I last booked it (March last year) the basic price was 60 pounds, whihc go you the room from about 7-11pm. The PA is another 20 pounds (very basic, but it worked and made noises). An additional hour (so it ends at midnight) is another 20 pounds, but was wasted last time as people left just after 11 to catch the last tube.

I think thats right. happygoff will probably know more than me. I'll email you the phone number of the sheepwalk (it's not in the phone directory).
