Emily got back from Ibiza, full of stories of scuba diving and saying hello to the fishies and octopi. Yay! :)

Weekend was spent entirely at home! I really should get out more. On Friday [livejournal.com profile] snow_leopard cooked vegetarian chilli, and made it *very* hot! That was fun, and yummy. Saturday was lots of housecleaning, we need to get the house presentable for prospective housemates and of course the fussy landlady. The jungle in the garden was attacked my me, and tamed, while catt sorted out the house. Tristan, with a remarkable sense of timing, turned up to help just as we'd finished. We celebrated finishing such a tiring day by having a Chinese takeaway and promptly messing up the place again, and also watching videos.

Sunday I got bored staying in, as [livejournal.com profile] missyslut had shown interest in living with us, and had said he'd planned to view the house. Everyone else was out, so I had to stay in, just in case. And missy didn't turn up. The only thing I did of not all day was cook myself a yummy dinner, and then just as I sat down to eat it, Emily and Val both phone me simultaneously! Emily said she was at Leyton tube station and wanted to meet me briefly, and Val wanted to tell me about her adventures in Moscow. Arrgh! Boring day and then suddenly everything happens at once. So I have a very rushed talk with Val, then quickly eat my dinner, make myself presentable, and zoom off to meet Emily. We sat against the gates of the local cemetery chatting about fishies, ibiza and other things for the next hour. *smallsmile*

Today, I got a postcard from Moscow. I thought - that was quick - Val's only been there one week, and the Russian postal system is slower than that. So I read it and it all made sense. Postcard was from Doseybat, who returned from Moscow about 3 weeks ago. That was more like it. Russian efficiency at it's best.

[livejournal.com profile] snow_leopard excelled herself in cooking yummy vegetarian spaghetti bolognaise tonight. I'm attempting to learn how she does it, so I can cook things for Emily in future. *shysmile*

Is Emily a veggie? Didn't know that. But yeah - why not buy you a veggie cookbook?

Dear me you've already seen through my cunning plan. Am I that obvious? I'm afraid I had no better idea than that, other than trying to teach you myself. It really isn't that hard to cook, you just have to be creative. In fact, without meat it's easier, because meat you have to worry about cooking it properly. With vegetables it's just a matter of taste. I've almost become veggie myself, the only time I eat meat is when it's given to me/in a shaverma/in the form of smoked/canned fish. It's just so much easier and much more fun.
