Visiting the family

fluffymarkI'm home in Lancaster for a few days, visiting the family. Only just got here from the train, but not much important seems to have changed. Mum is still very mum. And Jonathan's (my brother) situation hasn't changed. Eeeep.
My mum did managed to inform me a 'young lady' had phoned but then didn't reveal any more info on the caller, leading me to speculate for a *long* time over who would phone me, i didn't think it would be Catt, unless there was urgent news (in fact catt does have news - we need a new house mate, but it's not immediately urgent), nor would it likely to be Val, as i'd already phoned russia earlier this afternoon. But maybe Val was lonely again? And i'd forgotten to tell Emily my Lancaster number. Doh! And i was struggling to think of anyone else it could be. Surely not maria?
Only after i'd spent ages wringing my brain over this one did my mum finally casually say 'oh she said she was called Emily'. Yay for Emily trying to call, and boo for me not being here in time. And boo for my mum not telling me it was her straight away.
Anyway. It's late and apparently this costs money from here so i better get going.
