Yay! Today was lots and lots of fun, all thanks to [livejournal.com profile] happygoff and her Picnic and Piracy.

Today was not the day to go boating on the serpentine as an innocent tourist. Today was the day that happygoff had a picnic. And then engaged in a bit of Piracy afterwards. We met up at the Albert Memorial at noon (why? it's the wrong end of hyde park, but its very pretty I suppose, and it gave us something to bounce round on space hoppers while waiting for people to arrive). We then had a (relatively) civilized picnic by the side of the serpentine, and people liked my home baked mint-chocolate cake-buns. Yay! I'd got up *very* early to bake them this morning. Go me. The stuck up people who run the boathouse refused for a long time to let us take water guns out on the boats, but finally granted us permission (yay!) provided we were careful and only shot at each other, and cleaned the boats afterwards.
So, um the piracy. I shall explain. There was four of us to each pedal boat, and 6 boats, and our aim was to capture 'booty' off the other boats, as well as to soak the opposing boats and have lots of fun! I was teamed up with Emily, Rose, and Eleanor and we proceeded to wet many people, and have lots of fun. Yay! However we didn't do too well on the booty count (our space hopper got kidnapped and Emily had her gun taken) and we got *very* wet indeed. Eeeeep. We lost. :(
At this stage I looked very much the drowned rat. My sarong and t-shirt were soggy. Emily had remembered to bring spare dry clothes and towel (yay to Emily), so I avoided shivering to an icicle, and somehow managed to preserve my modesty, getting into Emily's clothes by the lakeside. (no, not like *that*). And collapsed in an tired heap after an hours hard pedaling!
I must say again - the piracy was immensely fun! :) And it was also good to have lots of friends, old and new at the picnic. C & T appeared, and C appeared to get on well with Emily, which is a good sign. It was also very nice to catch up with Alex & Kat cumber again, and to meet Emily's lifelong friend Eleanor properly for the first time.

A brief trip to the Ben Crouch Tavern followed, and then [livejournal.com profile] happygoff made a hurried exit to steal my girlfriend and take her away to ibiza with her. Eeeep.

Yes really. Ibiza. The last place i'd expect goths to go to on holiday. Rose, Frances and Emily on a girlie outing in the sunny land for a week. Caves and castles and not clubs, so they say. I've just seen them all off, and I hope they have a good time. Plane leaves sometime around nowish.

At some point in the next week i'm going to horribly miss Emily not being around, I know. I'm beginning to realise how much she means to me, and me to her. At the moment, I'm happily *still* wearing her skirt and top.

Bed calls. My legs have finally got around to telling me that they hurt muchly, and need a good rest from anything remotely looking like a pedal boat in the near future.

Sounds like quite a day oh wet one.

As for Emily being away...it won't be for too long will it? I hope not. Anyway, you will be able to call me soon whenever you like (at least, I hope so) so if you do feel lonely or sad don't be afraid to give me a ring.

As you said yourself, you're just beginning to realise how much she means to you...so when she comes back you'll be even MORE glad and will have lots to talk about regarding Ibiza and god knows what else.

Don't be sad.

I'm not. They've obviously decided to cater for my music tastes in her by playing Depeche Mode! YAY! Oh hell, why must I leave this place?!?!
