Saturday involved a fun trip to Kensal green cemetery and a yummy BBQ in croydon.

Kensal Green cemetery had an open day on saturday and it was muchly fun. There not only lots of pretty tombs and things, but stalls selling books and lots of other funeral-type things going on. Yay! An opportunity for goth-spotting too, as there must have been several dozen goths wandering around in small groups, however I spectacularly managed to fail to recognise anyone I knew. I also went on a pilgrimage to find a certain grave, based on very vague directions - which proved to be impossible as the cemetery is huge. I think I got close, but my enthusiasm for searching waned somewhat after getting attacked by stinging nettles. Wearing a sarong while traipsing through beds of nettles is *not* advised. Owwwwwwwwwwwwww!

Southwards to croydon for a fantastic BBQ/Party being thrown by [livejournal.com profile] avalon_bliss and [livejournal.com profile] zeke_hubris. First BBQ I've been to this summer and the food was very edible, except the really dodgy chicken burgers i'd brought along. Oooops. Nice to see [livejournal.com profile] incy and [livejournal.com profile] sheridanwilde there, and also some friends of Verity, whose names I forget, and I think I talked to many others whose names I also forget. There was a spectacular display of projectile vomiting (do not give a pina colada to a baby!) and someone kept filling up my cup with wine, and I think I drank way too much, so probably spouted gibberish at everyone for the later part of the party. Somehow managed to get home in one piece. Yay!

Ah!

Thank you so much for looking anyway! The effort is quite appreciated and my directions were very vague I know...I am hyst so impressed that you tried, because I doubt you would have found it (even I have problems sometimes)...perhaps when I pop home sometime I'll show you where it is. Sounds fab and wonderful though! *jealous*

Still, I'm going to look for Raskolnikov's house later! (Don't tell me you haven't read "Crime and Punishment". It's the principle character). Not the same, but almost as good.

You won't let it beat you eh? it really isn't that exciting, don't get all het up over it.

As for Raskolnikovs house, yeah, found it, bit dissapointing though. Will probably fo to the Dostoyevsky museum next weekend *yay*. Sadoyava was interesting though (the area where "Crime and Punishment" is set).
