A wedding, a cafastle and a miserable place

That was a wedding I’m not going to forget.


The very very lovely gnimmel and purplepiano got married in a gorgeous little place with the unlikely name of Marston Moretaine on Friday. Everything about the day was so much very them: the beautiful manor house, the even more beautiful wedding dress, the music, the poetic readings, the bubble mix, the chocolate cake of doom, and the absurd amount of cheese. It was a very happy event with excellent company, food, and fun. And did I mention the wedding dress? Bubble mix and Pimms is a deadly combination which makes for lots of silly photos. Of course, at some point my hair ended up looking like this strangeness which was interesting. Um. There was a very pretty wedding dress, which I may have almost forgot to mention (she bought it on ebay!!!?!). There was a lovely ceilidh, where I danced with both men and women, as both a man and a woman, and the band congratulated me on my spinning everyone around at lethal speed. Then mirabehn and evil_nick dragged a slightly wobbly me back to their place where I made a comfy and warm nest on their sofa. *squeeeeeee*

Later I dropped home for more coffee, which finally perked me out of my trance, and headed for Feeling Gloomy with doseybat and Meg, closely followed by verlaine. beingjdc plagued us with miserable songs all night long, so we spent lots of time bouncing long merrily on the dancefloor having far too much fun. I so love that club, it’s so absurd. *happy nods*

Yesterday I felt small and antisocial, so curled up on the sofa and watched all and every episode of Firefly, which was a splendid plan. Today started very differently, when our lovely lebanese guest (who escaped from Beirut last month and I’ve not mentioned here before) got back from clubbing at 10AM and dragged me out of bed into the back garden for a beer. In the morning. My head is now a very special place. *slightly fuzzy noises*

I'll have you know I wore a girly skirt and shoes and everything at a wedding recently! There's no photographic evidence though because I looked like an utter frump in it! Meh.
