Oh YES! The world has gone unreal, and europe has found taste in music. The best eurovision party ever. We were cheering for Finland all the way. Fantastic! *yay*

Many thanks to [livejournal.com profile] ixwin, [livejournal.com profile] taimatsu, [livejournal.com profile] the_alchemist, [livejournal.com profile] doseybat, [livejournal.com profile] compilerbitch, [livejournal.com profile] inskauldrak & C (don't think I'm not going to gossip now. Ha!), the lovely Meg and finally our guest of honour, Kristo the Finn (who kindly translated all those little signs in Finnish that Lordi kept waving at everyone) for making it an amazing evening. *bighugs*

Next year it’ll be an ABBA tribute band in Lordi costumes. And a damn good excuse to visit Finland. *nodnod*

Erm I have a livejournal. I feel a little embarassed and self-conscious about this so please be nice. Its like a wierd little cybergrowth on the side of my personality. I can't imagine what kind of content I will place in it, but it will allow me to stalk Val much more effectively.

I may have misunderstood the etiquette business slightly - am I meant to behave as if I am standing around in the playground asking people to be my friend? I'm a little confused. I think I may turn out to be the equivalent of the slightly wierd girl at school who smelt of honey and mice and kept bits of dead insects in her pencil case. I wasn't actually that girl, but I was often the only guest at that girls birthday parties.

Anyway hello. I'm still reeling from the shock of Saturdays hideous debacle. The Ukrainian mistake was forgiveable but allowing Lordi to win sends out the message that novelty acts are desirable and before long the contest will be dominated by them and there will be no place for heartfelt lovesongs performed by duos with names like 'Ivorna and Rolf' and that will be All Wrong. I am most distressed.

Joining the soap opera feels just dandy. I'm pretending to myself that its more Archers than Eastenders and that I can still be one of the bit characters who flies in from another continent from time to time and then goes away again.

I voted for Malta who got one point! One measly point I tell you - tchah.

Don't worry about what you say in front of me. I am quite happy to retaliate.

Let the games commence
