Shiny new home!!!
Jul. 16th, 2005 11:37 amYaaaaaaaaaaaaay! We have keys and new home and it’s even nicer than I remembered from when viewing it. And lovely new landlords
happygoff and
chewiemonster are the best landlords ever. What other landlord would help you move a roomful of furniture over, and then break open a bottle of nice red wine to celebrate? Am delighted and muchly happy about the new home. Also found previous owners had left us a tin of yummy sweeties, a bottle of german vodka, and
the_lady_lily‘s postcard from Finland (obviously a keen postcard wanting to grab the prime spot in the house before I do). *bounce*
Moving my stuff over on Monday. Help from anyone who can reach Leytonstone in the evening would be hugely appreciated. *hopefulsmile* I should spend this weekend doing final packing.
I keep finding really strange screensavers on my computer. The latest one takes the public RSS feed from livejournal and slowly scrolls all the latest LJ posts from random people up the screen. It’s beginning to scare me.
Anyway, off packing now. Hope everyone is well.

Date: 2005-07-16 10:46 am (UTC)I would volunteer to come over on Monday and help, but I'm having quite a busy weekend so I'd probably better say that I can't, to be on the safe side. *feels smug that I feel well enough even to consider it*
I hope you get plenty of volunteers. *smiles*

I know. It's very bizarre! *hugs you*
Tonight's definitely out - I do need to keep pacing myself. But if you need any more help shifting stuff at any point, do let me know? I'd like to help if I can. :)

Date: 2005-07-18 05:14 pm (UTC)I'll see how much stuff we get moved this evening, hopefully most of it, but I dobuth we can manage everything in one evening. It's likely we'll have some leftovers to move tomorrow evening, which should be easier. If you're feeling up for it tomorrow then you'll be more than welcome to help. :)

Date: 2005-07-18 05:55 pm (UTC)I have been quite tired today and do need to go into Slough tomorrow so I might have to say that tomorrow evening would still too soon. I'll see how I'm feeling though, and I'll e-mail you if it starts to look more likely. :)
I would need to stay over with you if I do come over, as the journey would be quite long...
