The bad news: John Peel dies. Waaaaaaaaaaaaah. :(

The good news: I just got enthusiastically chatted up by a lovely girl called Jenny in the street on my way to get lunch. Getting stopped and flirted at by total strangers just doesn't happen to me. Or it didn't used to. Um. Am still a bit stunned.

If you don't mind my asking, how did that work? Did she just walk up to you and introduce herself, or did you make significant eye contact first, or what?

She just walked up to me, and asked if she could talk to me. No eye contact, as I'd not even noticed her before she asked. I actually answered "no" as I was scared, but she then proceeded to flatter me with such intensity I stuck around and ended up having a very lively discussion about chocolate and other niceness, and she turned out to be very lovely. She said she'd spotted me before around Wimbledon.
