Exercise is bad for me

My little finger on my left hand is no longer little. It’s huge and purple and hurts LOTS. Ow ow ow. It’s really not easy to type one handed. Erk.

It’s well known I’ll do anything for chocolate. Anna tempted me with chocolate if I joined her in playing in a Korfball tournament this evening, and like a fool I said yes. I don’t need exercise. I hate sport. And in the second match the ball slammed straight into my poor little finger, and that was that. Much pain and agony. Apparently its a common injury, called “Korfball Finger”. This didn’t help. The chocolate helped a bit, but I wasn’t really in the mood by then. Ooops.

That was really silly of me, wasn’t it?

Can I say Ow again?

Huge and purple is a bad state of being for a little finger.

You don't need exercise, you need lard. Or possibly lots of beer.

It really is about twice the usual size. And a really unusual shade of purple. And have I mentioned how much it hurts? Ow ow ow ow ow.

Beer sounds good. If compilerbitch decides on Wednesday next week for beers at the Oakdale arms, then I'll be there. Am sadly having too much of a social life to get there any other day. :/

I'm scared it might be broken, but I'm told that because I can still move it, it isn't broken. But it still hurts LOTS even now. It looked even worse this morning. :(

Take my word from a fellow big and purple finger sufferer (squash related in my case at the mo!), get it checked...but don't say I didn't warn you about A&E. Hope it gets better soon...
