Who wants to come to a Ceilidh?
Jul. 21st, 2004 09:55 pmI'm going to a Ceilidh at Cecil Sharp House (Camden) on Friday 30th July- and would encourage lots of people to come along too! Yay! It's been far too long since I went to a Ceilidh! *bounce* Am very excited by this. Come come come! (you'd probably have to order tickets in advance)
On a similar note, I've getting myself in a very folky mood for Trowbridge, as I'm heading off there tomorrow morning. Yay Eliza Carthy, Oysterband and Levellers and oooh...more and more..... Mmmmmm. Yay for the loveliest people ever I'll be going there with. Wish us lots of sunny weather and no mud and lots of pretty music!
Have shiny new MP3 player (thanks to
alektoeumenides) and have been filling it up of folky music to keep me happy. *bounce*
Hooray for hot water! I can have showers again (and will do *very* soon as I smell) as shiny new boiler got installed today. Plus
inskauldrak managed to fix the Dyson so he's officially fab.
I really should think about packing, shouldn't I?

Date: 2004-07-22 01:37 am (UTC)I tell a small lie - yesterday it started acting strange - doesn't seem to properly download music onto it anymore, even thought its mainly empty still. Hmmmmm.
Only cost to me was the postage to send it back to them, the main problem was a lot of hassle with fax machines faxing the receipt to them - it was a on strange paper so I had to photocopy it first, and by the time it then got faxed, the date on the receipt (the one thing they need to know the most) was unreadable. Waaaah. Took several weeks of attempts - but once they accepted it everyther went quick and a replacement brand new one arrived last friday. :)
I'll happily have your weird music, but no need to make me an MP3 cd, I'll copy it straight from your laptop (assuming you're bringing that with you to London?)
Hm...
Date: 2004-07-22 02:07 am (UTC)As for getting my weird music...well, I don't have *everything* on my laptop, cos I still have this phobia of starting to use hard drive #2 (I have two hard drives, 20gb each - a strange thing to do, but I guess it's better for storeage and efficiency and stuff) so I tend to keep my laptop contents under 20gb (currently on about 16). So it'll be easier to make an mp3 cd. More portable too, rather than dragging my laptop around or summat. Well, we'll see.
Let me know what you're interested in and enjoy filling up 60gb of space with music!
