In a protest against a wind farm, a village has renamed itself

Llanhyfryddawelllehyn-afolybarcudprindanfygy-thiadtrienusyrhafnauole

which means:

"a quiet beautiful village, an historic place with rare kite under threat from wretched blades"

and this is now the longest place name in the UK. *amused*

Wales still scares me.

If you ever fancy a return visit, I'll show you an episode of The Saint, in which Roger Moore finds himself in Wales, and rescues the hapless locals from giant, super-violent, sheep-eating, and of course "wretched", ants...

One just HAS to love the Welsh. Their language is so lovely. (Besides, they sound so cute when they speak.) ^_^

The only Welsh word I can ever remeber is "gwasanethau", which (modulo probably incorrect spelling) means 'Motorway Service Station' or something close to that.

I think Wales scares us all. Except the Welsh, who are accustomed to it by genetics.
