Stephen Hawking (who was always disturbingly distracting and annoyed me when I knew him at DAMTP) claims to abolish the infamous Black Hole No-Hair theorem. Impressive stuff. What I want to know now is what colour the hair is. Ideas?

Our shiny Dyson is broken and our boiler is broken and we have a party tomorrow. *sigh* So I'm in a foul mood. Someone help cheer me up.

We have no idea.
It runs and makes nice whirrring noises but has no suction.

Cheering...

1) I have made a cake. The bits that stuck to the cake tin which I eat were pretty tasty. It is uber posh and suitable for most people (not vegans) being organic and gluten free. It contains handpicked wild raspberries, lemon zest, ground almonds and polenta.

And I will bring it with me this afternoon. That's pretty cheering.

2) www.metcheck.com says the weather should be fine.

3)I know nothing about Dysons (though we have one and it seems to work), but I will be careful not to spill anything on your carpets.

4) You can eat off exciting paper plates with pirates and Shrek on them with gay abandon if you have no hot water with which to clean proper plates.

5) I have a splendid new haircut.

Happy now???

Lots of love

Penny

it sounds like the fan belt. If you turn it upside down you might be able to see if it is snapped, otherwise if you take the plate off the bottom it will be obivous.

Hi, I'm Michael (who lives with Catt and Mark) - this'll sound really dim, but do you mean the plate that covers the rollers?

Thanks!
