Tube map of 2016

Just how many extra lines are there on that map? Someone is being a tad optimistic. Just looking at it, it looks wrong.

Am feeling profoundly shattered after a lovely weekend. Am feeling a bit rubbish for messing around and worrying a few people by being useless and not being where I said I may be at various point at the weekend, but I can't be everywhere at once. Eeeeep.

Well, it is a map of proposed changes rather than approved ones.

Having said which, Crossrail and some of the line extensions are definite. The DLR extension past City Airport is well advanced already.

Crossrail is definite? Ooh.

As far as I can tell. The way it's discussed doesn't make it sound like a vague proposal any more.

Having said which, apparently the announcement or non-announcement of funding is due this afternoon.

They've started on the T5 extension as well. What they don't show on the map is that this will involve running a second set of lines alongside the existing ones, as T5 trauns will run fast nonstop from Acton Town to Heathrow 123.

Interestingly, I notice that the proposed West london Transit connects Shepherds Bush on the Hammersmith & City line to Shpeherds Bush on the Central line. Not renaming either of these stations would add a certain interest to moving around that part of town, don't you think?

Not, of course, that it's already in any way strange to have two stations with the same name.

Interesting that there's expansion into East Essex, but not North (extension of the Picc, Victoria and Central lines) which could really do with expansion.

I really appreciate you turning up last night *hug*
