Sniffle sniffle
Oct. 11th, 2003 06:54 am*cough* *cough* *cough*
Waaaaaaah! I'm badly ill.
I appear to have caught the evil coughy thing going around, or maybe something worse. Woooozy light head and coughs and sore throat and sniffly nose and huge red splodgy rash all over skin and a lot of insomnia. Moooooop :(
Rash is getting worse - need to find and look in scary medical book and find out what it is, must be something similar to Measles. Hope it doesn't get any worse. *scared*
Couldn't think properly in interview yesterday at all due to being ill and my mind wandering elsewhere, and so was far from being my best and coughed all over them. B-Movie was a no-go and I just collapsed on sofa but
kmazzy is now happily visiting and watched Lesbian videos and looked at the chocolate porn. So yay for her! :)
*fitofcoughing*
*sniffles*
Want to curl up in bed all day and be fed warm drinks and chocolate. What horrible timing, I've got to move house today. And drive a van in a few hours. Oh dear. Lots of lovely people helping me move, that will be nice. Eeeeeeee. *sniffle*

Date: 2003-10-11 02:14 am (UTC)You = rest, be looked after.
The lovely people will be very happy to take directions and pamper you, I'm sure. Do the minimum moving things about you can get away with.
*sends virtual hot water bottle and hot chocolate*
love,

Date: 2003-10-11 02:33 am (UTC)Use this opportunity of having lots of people helping you move to improve your management skills in order to enhance your CV. Wrap up very warm and snug in oriental fabrics with a turban, recline majestically on your chaise longue (what do you mean you haven't got one? well, send a minion out to scavenge as soon as they arrive), sipping your Lemsip with an expression of authority and coughing all over people if they object.
At least, that's what I'd do. If I had any minions. Which, at the moment, I don't.
I'm working on it.
Get well soon!
I feel guilty...
Date: 2003-10-11 03:22 am (UTC)So I won't come and help you move, there is no point multiplying your sources of contagion. Sorry. Hope the move goes well.
Rash may mean fifth disease. Nothing to worry about. There are five childhood illness which routinely cause rashes, the fifth one being fifth disease which is a rash accompanied by the symptoms of a cold or flu. It is so insignificant compared to measles it doesn't even have a proper name.
Having said that childhood illnesses can have nasty consequences in adulthood so if you have an unexplained rash I would seek medical advice asap. And you can do this at any GP practice if you register as a visitor. Or call NHS Direct.
Lots of love
Penny

Date: 2003-10-12 10:25 am (UTC)They did - I let the fab lovely people finish my packing and do all the loading and unloading, and unpack for me.
All I did was drive the van-from-hell *shudder*. Its a miracle I didn't crash it.
Have I ever told you how wonderful you are? :)

Date: 2003-10-12 10:28 am (UTC)Essentially thats what I did - I drove the scary van, but then let others do the resto of the work, which they seemed more than happy to do.
Am feeling somewhat better now, thankfully.
Hot chocolate sounds like a fantastic idea. :)

Date: 2003-10-12 10:38 am (UTC)I self-diagnosed myself with Rubella about 3 years ago. Symptoms then were a intense splitting headache with nausea and high fever and running nose for about a day followed after by coughing and a rash lasting a few days. This current illness has similar symptoms, but in a different order and milder.
Never knew there were 3 forms of Rubella. Eeeep.
