They've not officially told me yet, but glastonbury have cashed my deposit cheque, so it looks like I'll be working at glastonbury again this year! Yay! *bounce* *bounce* *bounce*

So what's Glasters like to work these days?

I did once, many years ago (main gate, mainly, although I was left in charge of trader's gate over Saturday night . . . not bad for a seventeen-year-old, actually, so maybe I should consider putting it on my CV). The prevailing opinion at Cropredy is that working Glastonbury would at best be too much like work, and at worst a nightmare beyond imagining.

I worked last year and it was actually quite fun. True, the were long hours of dullness on shifts, intersperced by odd happenings.
I'm hoping i get the pre-festival shift again, when theres very little work to actually do, and i don't miss anything of the actual festival.
However, peopel tell me that was a particularly nice year for glastonbuty, i may not be so lucky this time.

Actually, i wouldn't call it 'lucky' merely a little organised, which doesn't happen very often for me. Still, I can go around being smug for now. :)

You should get in touch with Pennie Vargas - have you met her? She's going and she's rather nervous that she'll be on her own. I told her to try and contact you but otherwise you should try and get hold of her through PennyJoe.

Wish you could go too!!! It oddly feels like i've been stealing your rightful job at glastobury. Which is a silly way to think about it.

Pennie Vargas as at Joe+Pennys drinkies thing on friday, and so i spent most of the evening chatting to her abouth Glastonbury and other randomness - they've cashed her cheque too, and we're both hoping to get on the pre-festival shift, and it'll be fab if we both do, as we appear to get on very well, and it'll be a lot less scary if theres someone I know there. Yay for her :) :) :)

Yay yay yay! I'm looking forward to glastonbury lots and lots now. *excitedbounces* - hope it lives up to the expectation, and the highs of last year. Yay!

And it'll of course be fantastic to have a Val breifly back in the fold over summer. :) :)
