I wish for peace

Planning to go to parliament square when all hell breaks loose. Plus the thing on saturday. Anyone else?

And the sodding news is behaving like war is just another spectator sport. Grrrrrr.

Depending on mood, of course, but I think I might be there. Is there a place to get information from about these demonstrations or is it all word-of-mouth?

I don't think it will make a difference in the stopping-war kinda way (I don't think anything will by now, apparently there's even going to be war if Saddam leaves Iraq!) but there are other kinds of differences it might make.

But war is a spectator sport. Has been since 1967 (6 days war?).
Although the US will bomb any independent journalists who dare to report from Iraq.
America has not suffered the horror of war since the Civil War, its a very distant thing to them. We havn't since 1945, but we seem to have a short memory, and of course, Blair himself has never suffered it.

So everyone, get your popcorn, sit-back and enjoy the show.
