Back from Prague / Calling
A full report on pretty Prague to come later. Photos will be appearing on my webpage imminently! Yay. Thanks to
snow_leopard,
emomisy,
emarkienna,
davefish and
erming for a fab holiday. You're all wonderful. *hugs*
Got back to England on Tuesday and heard about the size of the Anti-War march on Saturday - *wow* - I wish I'd been there. I didn't return to London straight away, but decided Tuesday evening was time for a long overdue visit to Cambridge to see a few people. So I travelled back and
emarkienna very kindly made me a quick dinner (thankyou thankyou thankyou) before I headed out to the Calling. Somehow I've not been in about two years now. The Kambar is a fantastic venue for a goth night - the tudor decorations with wooden beams and panelling is awesome and the huge candelabras are ideal. Wow. So much has changed - yet so much hasn't. I was stunned by the number of people there I still know. It felt like returning home when
zotz and
kboyd greeted me at the door.
razornet played some wonderful music to bounce to. I got introduced to a few new people, mainly some of
emarkienna's friends, who seem interesting. Lots of people there looking pretty, including
firewoman who disturbingly managed to remind me of the pretty thing (Emily). Thinking of another Emily -
duranorak was there and in good spirits - she claims me being there made her happy again - not sure what I do, but I'm not going to stop. There were lots of other people, who I don't know, but would like to find out more about them. Hmmm. There was free popcorn on the bar, which made me very happy, inexplicably. I danced until the end, and then had to walk half way across Cambridge, which was tiring.
gnimmel and
purplepiano are stars and are wonderful friends - they were perfectly ok about me pressing the doorbell at 3am and waking them up and requesting a bed. *hugs*. I think I owe lots of favours back now. Yay for nice friends.
