fluffymark | Odds and ends

This week has been very busy - apologies to anyone who is expecting email from me - I've been unable to answer anything except the briefest messages. This should be remedied soon.

The reason for all this work is my thesis.

snow_leopard is very sweetly helping by proof reading. This week did have some time for fun - yesterday was Tenebrae, which was notable for lots of people I know unexpectedly being there, and an adorable heavy snowfall occurring on the way home, making everything look pretty.

I found sierki!!!!!! In a shop just around the corner! They are the yummiest things *ever* (they are chocolate covered cheesecake sweets) and hopefully will stop my weight loss problem.

It was a surprise to see them. A Russian mini market has opened on High Road Leytonstone, stocking all sorts of Russian foodstuffs. I'd looked there for sierki before, but with no luck. I was walking past it on my way in to Stratford, and noticed a large chest freezer had appeared near the front of the Russian shop. Then I noticed the sign in Russian on the freezer:

сиркы шоколад (trans: chocolate sierki)

I ran into the shop, and it was true! Three flavours - cocoa, strawberry and fruit gum. I bought them, and fed them to doseybat and sarah who visited that evening for a nice chat and yummy dinner.

A shuttle has just gone bang. Oh no :(
