Hooray!!!! Snow!

Isn't it sad how such a little thing like this has made me very happy?

I think being cheered up by small things is a Very Good Thing.

If you can't be made happy by little things, you're going to be sad a lot of the time. I think little-thing-happiness is a Very Good Thing. :)

My reaction to watching Amelie was to have the urge to do something exciting with my life, so I instantly booked a holiday to Paris.

Hey, did you see my comment before you wrote yours, or do we just express ourselves spookily similarly?

I'm not sure I've ever seen snow as heavy as we've currently got. I feel like I'm currently in a mixing bowl with icing sugar being heavily sifted over me.

I think it is a Very Good Thing that you both think that little things are Very Good Things. :)

How do you know what being covered in icing sugar is like?
No...actually....not sure I want to know the answer to that one...

I *was* quite happy until I saw the snow, and now I feel unutterably miserable (mostly but not entirely due to snow hurting and preventing me from picking things up - see my entry.)

Sort of nice to know it balances out, though. And yes, being made happy by small things is definitely Very Good. In my case, however, an unexpectedly warm day would have done the trick much more effectively

You could send all the snow over here - that way we would both be a lot happier.

Actually another reason I'm probably happy right now is because chapter 3 of my thesis is being happily spewed out of the printer right now..... :)

I did read yours, so I gusee my subconscious must have filed 'Very Good Thing' under 'phrases'; then I came back later and posted a comment because I wanted to mention Amelie and came out with the phrase entirely undeliberately :)

It's the little things in life which make it so damn good sweetie :)

Although too much snow can get rather exasperating. Want some? Come and get it. Although I must confess I am still overjoyed when we get those damned big snowflakes...so big that you can see all the little details just looking at it when it falls on your glove...now that's cool *beams*

Indeed :)

I went up out on one of the higher floor balconys (yes, theis plance has balconies....!!) late yesterday that looked out over the city. It was devastatingly cold, but the pretty snowflakes swirld all around me, they were huge and delicate, amd landed on my hand and melted slowly. I could see over a large area of london, and see the snow swirling down, turning everything white. Making London pretty.
