Can I sing the doom song?

It’s an established fact I cannot sing. I have lots of talented singing friends, and when we get together, I’m the one in the corner not singing. Unless you add alcohol, in which case something very strange happens. Then like singing, and can get very enthusiastic. But I’m still no good, unless you want me to do vocals to Throbbing Gristle or something. Anyway, the point is, next weekend I appear to have let myself in for some Karaoke. *shudder*

Don’t get me wrong. I’m strangely looking forward to it, even though there will be many people I don’t know there. verlaine has booked a proper Karaoke room, in a nice sounding place that does proper japanese food and sake cocktails and the like. All good stuff. But that still doesn’t mean I can sing. Let’s just face it, several songs are going to end up being massacred. And I’m going to attempt to have as much fun as possible doing it. *yay*

So which songs to murder? I will have to sing 3, maybe up to 5 songs. Oh dearie me. I looked at the long list of available songs, cut out all the Spice Girls and other such rubbish, and have made a shortlist. Which many of you will say still contains rubbish. And you would be right! *nods* So now it’s your turn. Time for a poll. Do your worst! *grins*

True wisdom tells me I should just go on a whim and totally ignore what people want me to sing. You mean you actually expect me to go by majority decision? *boggles* I think I know you lot better than that. *nods*
