All ready for Snow!
Flying out to Moscow in the morning! Yay! I must be mad. Of course, typically, as everywhere I travel to this year, Moscow is due a warm spell just as I arrive so the snow will probably melt on me, but we’ll see what happens. As usual, it’ll be an adventure! Will shortly set out to visit
mirabehn and
evil_nick who are lovely and kind in letting me stay at their place near Heathrow tonight. *loves* I get to play with sparkly candles and stuff!
No sign or sight of mice here anymore. Traps are still set, just in case, but I’m hoping they are all gone now. *yay*
Feel all very excited and christmasy, the mood is helped by me having already opened all my presents here as I can’t take them to Moscow with me to open there. Is a bit naughty of me, but I’ve had lots of good things from all over the place. Father Christmas has even sent me a huge box of lovely chocolates from his home in Finland, and has suspiciously the same address as
isobell. Having said that, I feel like Santa myself, as I’ll be lugging a huge sack of stuff for
alektoeumenides on my back a long distance on Christmas Eve for her. Yaaaay!
Am part way through reading Dostoyevsky’s The Idiot. How annoyingly appropriate.
