Help! My social life is eating me. Quick update - Last week there was Oleanna with [livejournal.com profile] snow_leopard, a deadly sexual psychological power game between student and teacher, with Julia Stiles the initially submissive broken student upping the stakes until she has the lecturer fully under her control. Wow. Has to been seen to be believed. Over a very extended pizza and cocktails lunch (3 hour lunch breaks are not considered unusual...) myself and the lovely [livejournal.com profile] 791point43 formed a workable plan for global domination (plans are secret but involve an elvish free love commune in Siberia) so expect the apocalypse once I've eaten all my chocolate. Emily invited me around to [livejournal.com profile] happygoff's place to watch Spirited away - pretty film! Yaaay! And they told me their big news - [livejournal.com profile] happygoff and Chewi are getting married! In a forest! How faby fab fab fab! Lovely neo-folk tunes of Death in June gig on Friday - good to see lots of people there - returned long lost-boots to [livejournal.com profile] fluffymormegil, hugged [livejournal.com profile] rowan_leigh, found [livejournal.com profile] panzerpenguin on the music stall, chatted enthusiastically about Estonia, Finland and gay Nick Cave duets with the delightful [livejournal.com profile] caro7 and [livejournal.com profile] mal1 (a shocking rare public appearance), ate the fine vegeterian buffet food (how civilized) while listening to what can only be described as apocalyptic lounge music, a musical genre previously unknown to the world. Located [livejournal.com profile] surje just as Death in June appeared, and I was happy and blissed out by good music. Yaaaaay! At the weekend, talented [livejournal.com profile] the_alchemist stunningly organized a fantastic readthrough of Daisy pulls it off, that topping parody of schoolgirliness with severe lesbian undercurrents. [livejournal.com profile] yvesilena and [livejournal.com profile] casby hosted and Yves played the most natural and perfect Trixie ever, so no surprises there. [livejournal.com profile] mirabehn was Daisy herself, so we had the joy of yet another stunning Elly-Yves double act, which always somehow just works. I can't not mention the wonderful accents - [livejournal.com profile] lzz's French accent is unbelievably fab, [livejournal.com profile] ixwin worked a great Irish accent for Alice, and [livejournal.com profile] doseybat produced an authentic Russian accent for Mr Scoblowsi, but thats cheating because she's actually Russian. And everyone else was fab too. There was the usual chaos after, and [livejournal.com profile] evil_nick has photos of the the ensuing pillow fight and tickle fight I had with [livejournal.com profile] doseybat. Bizarrely, [livejournal.com profile] mirabehn challenged me to an Arm Wrestling, followed by [livejournal.com profile] ixwin and [livejournal.com profile] yvesilena, none of whom proved easy for me to beat, but I was narrowly the victor, possibly only as I had the sitting-on-[livejournal.com profile] kmazzy's-lap advantage. Yay! Monday meant a lovely bookgroup BBQ with Catherine and Rachael. Yesterday I delivered presents-from-Moscow (Shishkin prints) to [livejournal.com profile] alektoeumenides' mum who was delighted by them. And inevitably, I was fed until i was stuffed. No wonder I'm putting on weight again (hooray for that - finally!). Today I was highly pleased to meet with the huggable [livejournal.com profile] taimatsu for lunch and chat about Trowbridge plans involving wonderfully strange musical instruments and lewd songs. *giggles*

Cambridge has a highly tempting combination of bouncing to 80s music and proper beer this weekend, so I plan to invade if I can persuade someone foolish enough to give me somewhere to sleep. please please please?

Plus I plan to celebrate the fabness that is the Central Line now running 30 minutes later at night by going to Electric Dreams sometime soon (like, you know, next Monday?) . Because, I can now do that and still get home not too late on a school night. And because I've not been there in far too long and I miss it horribly. Waaah. Anyone else tempted?

And lots of good luck and best wishes from me to anyone about to start exams. *fingerscrossed*
