Chopstick heaven!
Jun. 12th, 2002 08:28 pmI can use chopsticks! I can use chopsticks! Yay!
I'd never been able to get *anywhere* using them before. And now they work for me. Go me! :)
Dined at Wong Kei's in Chinatown yesterday evening with
alektoeumenides (who now has fab three-tone hair!), and she taught me the black art of chopstick weilding. I was wary at first, and it took a lot of time for me to get it right, and I don't think I've perfected it. But I can pick peas up now! Thats good isn't it? And the really slippery pieces of chicken - I can lift those too! *bounce* And even bits of rice. I ate the *whole* dish just using chopsticks. I'm sooooo pleased with myself. *happybouncies*
In other news, I got to see the Sheba exhibition at the Bristish museum (small but nice, although i got in free....not sure i'd pay to see it). And I also got to see other bits of the museum (like the staff canteen that serves divine chocolate cake *mmmm*) and found out theres quite a lot of staff there who have severe goth leanings.....*giggle*. Met ginger, and had the Vindalanda tablets pointed out to me (which I'd always overlooked before). Fascinating! Wow.
