Happy Easter! Except I got no easter eggs this year yet. Time is running out.

Tomorrow (Easter Sunday) I had planned a nice trip to Hampton Court to see the palace and gardens, which I've never been to before and sound like they would be wonderful. However as the Queen Mother sadly died yesterday, this plan may no longer be feasible (Not sure but entirely possible the palace will be shut tomorrow) so I'm now at a bit of a loss ath what to do tomorrow. Its eminently possible I'll end up going with catt and her brother to a catholic mass. That would be a first time for me at a mass, although I've been to many anglican communions in my past. It's a little known fact that I'm in fact a confirmed anglican, although my beliefs have since seriously wandered since my confirmation.

On easter monday it seems entirely likely i'll end up at [livejournal.com profile] incy's party along with [livejournal.com profile] sheridanwilde. It really is about time I got out and met more people and this party presents a good window to do this. I'm always hating myself at how unsociable I can become at times. Big fault of mine.

Seriously time for bed now. I got very very little sleep last night.

Went to church today. That was scary.

Almost missed the service too. We planned to get to the noon service at Westminster Cathedral. Got woken up by catt bringing me breakfast telling me it was 10am and we'd be leaving at 11am, allowing an hour to get there. A minute later she suddenly appeared with the revelation it was in fact 11am, having been embarassingly told by her computer about the clocks change, and that we'd have to leave instantly. So much for breakfast.
Westminster Cathedral is very very pretty. I'd recommend anyone wandering in that area to hunt it out and have a look around inside. Or maybe its just me that appreciates old buildings and pretty iconography. [Loud crash from downstairs. Catt' brother just dropped the blender and broke it. Pity.] The service itself was odd. Catholic mass is very short, I'd not realied that before. Too many people in there though and too big, it all felt very impersonal.
After teh service and a lunch in the nearby pub behind buckingham palace, I wandered around to the front of the palace to see what was going on. Crouds of people! People are actually standing in long queues just to see up close the little notice attached to the gates of the palace announcing the death of the Queen Mum. I mean, I can understand showing their respect to the body lying in state and suchlike, but to queue to see a piece of paper is possibly going a bit far.

Better go downstairs now and be sociable. I've been told I'm cooking potato curry tonight.

Galadriel

Galadriel

If I were a character in The Lord of the Rings, I would be Galadriel, Elf, Queen of Lothlorien, wife of Celeborn and grandmother of Arwen.

In the movie, I am played by Cate Blanchett.

Who would you be?
