I have been to Tokyo, my brother was living there a couple of years ago but sadly I could only get a few days off work to see it - grrr. As for that eclipse, only the millionaires will get to see the full 6.39 minutes of it - those Japanese islands are tiny, and it will literally be a lottery who gets to go (so also hopeless if you want to go with someone!) It's a difficult one - I'm tempted by seeing it as a sunrise in India (although it will only be 3 mins), but it's monsoon season so clear skies are unlikely. The next one is equally remote, visible only from a very remote bit of Patagonia, so we'll have to wait a few years now. Sorry, I've gone into eclipse waffle mode...!
