You're right about the need to find a better venue - something that suits your delightful singing voice and all the instruments. Sadly, most small venues in london have bad acoustics for your sort of sound, although not all as bad as the H&A. Even medium sized venues like the Underworld have dodgy acoustics. The Borderline would be better, if you can find a promoter willing to put you on there.
One of the reasons I like you is the original ideas you have I rarely see elsewhere with bands - the music box was very pretty and unique. :) Wonderful. :)
